Just a few projects. Always Learning. Always Humble. I just enjoy creating music.
Each track on this Initial project was tailored to an idea, concept, or purposeful communication. Everything from track name, style, sounds, etc were all created from scratch. The goal was exposure. For all the fun details click of the links below.

This project was very humbling and exciting. The goal was to create my own spin or representation for several top raking genres. Much more challenging than anticipated, but I finally got it. I'd say there's a new appreciation for creating genre specific sounds. Can we say equipment upgrade! How challenging you ask? Listen and enjoy.

One of the most important things an artist of any kind can do is make progress. Growing and improving your craft, sound, and content should always be the goal. Though I enjoyed the creation of this collection, the focus was trying new sounds, original expressions, and evolving skills sets and understandings. It HAS BEEN A JOURNEY! Each track says something and has a purposely crafted message. What do you hear?

Come and see whats going on in the "LAB".
If you thought our culture was innovative in music, wait until you see what the world is doing.
There are things that you just have to see and or hear for your self. Some of the most amazing art and performances can be found below. (Opinionated)
The project obtained its title from the most amazing opportunity in the word. I beat, tapped, whistled, hummed, clapped, clicked, and made up my own words to so many songs that my son was inspired to enjoy music. Not just any music, but my renditions. Sure he's biased, but this all began with an attempt to create something for him. A few likes, synthesizers, and pads later, we get a complete project of love.
I hope you have as much fun listening to this adventure as I did making it.
Each track was created with a purpose. The goal was to communicate an idea, vision, or understandable reference to listeners.
TRACK #1 - DADDY'S FIRST SONG
It was the origin of the whole process. It evolved into a set that tried to incorporate various preferred styles, lots of energy, and familiar sounds from early instrumentals.

TRACK #2 - CHILL OUT
The title speaks for itself. To chill doesn't exactly mean quiet, so being an enthusiast of deep bass...well you get the idea.
TRACK #3 - SAVE AND MOVE
When I started this track there was no peace at the time. So I saved, moved to a new location in house and got back to work. At the peak of each progression, I had to save and move. I finally got a spot and worked for what seemed like a sprinkle of sand worth of time. Guess what happened. A request from a lovely third party, to save and move!
TRACK # 4 - THE ADVENTURES OF FUNKY MIKE
A full set of mixed emotions created this tune. It sounds like its from a movie you might want to see. The truth is, it was born out a movie that may actually be created one day. This past April, I lost my father. He transitioned on a journey only he seem to know about. How and why aren't really important. Understandings, relationships, and leftover emotions fit in that same box. What I wanted to do create a piece that imagined what it would sound and look like when he walked into Heaven. He was 70's music, style, dress, character and all. Everything had to be funky. Those who experienced him in this rare form, called him Mike. RIP Funky MIKE. Thanks for the exposure to music, cars, and the opportunity to be loved.
As I went on to create the next 3 tracks, my goal was challenge myself. Reach for a new sound and or blend sounds.

TRACK #5 - INTERESTING
Every person who hear this track in any phase said "Interesting". I wasn't sure of that meant good or bad, but the more I listened to it, the more I realize the collect of sounds were "interesting". Watch the back and forth movement. Sounds like life.
TRACK #6 - WELL THEN
Now This Was Fun! If you've been around long enough, you know the hip-hop of the 90's was some of the most competitive of all eras. Regions of the world had their own unique styles, artist, and messages. My Good Ole ATLANTA use to have something I'd like to call the 808 run. Every song, at every opportune moment, did an 808 run. It woke up your sound system and the neighbors. (Please don't get a ticket on this 1!)
TRACK #7 BRING ON HOME NAH
If you've ever been to a SBC, Southern Baptist Church, you know that every service ends with countless people yelling "Bring it on home nah" Partly because they want to be heard, sometimes because they're waiting for the point, but mostly because service started at 10am and 3:30 but the pastor is still going. The song sounds like the ending to movie. So on that note, The End!

The fun and creativity surrounding these instruments or machines is absolutely astounding. This project began as a tribute and introduction of our take on selected genres. It transformed over time to adventure of creating new sounds, applications of physics, and crafting collaborations between many passions. Way into the wee hours of most mornings, knob turns, switch flips, calculations at hand, we found ourselves smiling and nodding to an original tune. We hope that you enjoy it as much as we did. Volume 2 is in the works!
Track #1 - EDM DANCE PULSE
What can I say? Its an international sound. I've only been to a few music scenes across the world, but edm is definitely global. I tried to find a happy medium and play with a few new toys and software items. Sticking with my style, there are still original sounds and a bit of playfulness with the kicks, but the oscillators had to work overtime to keep pace.
Track #2 - CIRCUITRY PT 1
Synth happy? Yeah...Maybe. The groove box used for this song is nothing short of amazing. Synth sounds generally come from a power hungry, lightinging infused, hard core, modulated device. Groove box made some amazing sonics, even though everything was done off DAW. In other words, the entire song was done without a computer. Well mostly. The sound creation, generation, sequencing, and mixing were all done in one portable device. Any parameter can be changed and this most evident when listening and mixing live. I enjoyed it so much that I made a part two. The song has a very ABACABB kind of feel.
Track #3 - TRAP MIX
So, I tried several times earlier in the year to make this new trap sound. It never came out to the expectations of new gen listeners. IT must sound like the some "little"or "baby" artist that they knew, and it had to have moments where they could yell "woo", "yaah", or "hold up, hold up" followed by another "yaah" or "yeek". Very stressful. So I mixed a few a of the basic ideas with late 80's trap sounds to create a "Trap Mix". There should be a few familiar moments but with my own twist on the sequence of sounds.
Track #4 - LULLABYSTEP
People often criticize dubstep, chillstep, trapstep, and every other heavy bass modulated step genre. So i decided to reward those haters with a new step. I sat working through a sounds and handsome young man kept walking into my office space and trying to get into my lap. As he sat in his usual observing posture, I noticed he wasn't saying much. 1000 questions a minute on any given day, and he was silent. He looked up and me and said "can you make this a song for me to go to sleep"? He then laid his head up against me and calmly watch me layout and layer the track. Just as I finished he was snoring. Who knew that a little LFO and Square wave mixed with tranquil tune could work so fast. Easily one of my favorite tracks.
Track #5 - SYNTH
The name speaks for itself. Very Edgy. Very calculated. Imperfect but exciting if you're into the sound. Wakes up the house from time to time.

Track #6 - DUBTRAPSTEPHOP
What in the world is this? That's what i kept asking myself. I started on the project in October. Has kind of a Halloween theme, but I kept interrupting the darkness with phase shifts and amplitude changes. Also dubbed the "Battle Song", the idea was to convey the perception that Hip-Hop, Dubstep, and Trap music were talking about what to do next. I'n not sure who won the argument but its definitely an interesting mix.
Track #7 - SIMON'S TAXI
As I learn and grow these ideas and sounds, i share the information and fun with my son. He naturally developed an interest in music, but adores father son time in the office. He's responsible for the name of this track as he says, "It sounds like taxi music". I allowed him to sit through the whole process as i crafted this expression. Needless to say we were smiles all the way to where ever we were going. Very Chill just my boy.
Track #8 - SOUNDTRACK
All good movies have amazing accompanying soundtracks. I thought to myself "How can I contribute to a very grand genre? Action movies are still by far my favorite types of film and I tried to influence the sounds of for a visual of my grand hero entrance. I'm not sure if i got a chase scene, a hero's welcome, regrouping of hero partners, but it fits somewhere in the cinematic universe for sure.
Track #9 - CIRCUITRY PT2
Midi in and out. Audio interface loaded. Even though this was done electronically, the goal was still to have an organic layout with synthesized sounds. A few beat drops, fades, and break dance moves later, I had a track. The groove box is very powerful tool.
Track #10 - GROOVE
Guitar Chords are HARD! Yes,i'm still learning. After watching days worth of footage on famous multi genre guitar players, i decided to give it another go. Midi guitar in hand, software and hardware working overtime, a few (30) practice runs, and off I went. Frowning just seems to make the part funkier. I was in the mood of Eddie, Jimmy, Eric and Bruce. These amazing players love to stress out the ear and the equipment. The idea of the groove is to take the head nodding pallet and expand it just a bit. It took a few late nights, reboots, and prayers. Then inspiration and creativity sat with me for little while and whaalaa! Fun

When people ask, "What kind of music do you make?" The response is often, "Multi-Genre Music" Its a clarity being used to allow the music to define itself. The second exchange is always, "So what do you do?" I "I make music." "Oh you mean like Beats?" Most likely categorizing is something people do to try to understand or perceive the exchange. Again, I'd prefer to let the music define itself. As I see it, Musicians, Producers, Sound Engineers, Beat makers, Finger Drummers, and DJ's can do the same jobs, but have their own uniqueness and additive quality or contributions to the industry. That being said, my response is still I make music.
